Woo! I finished my Scion char. I also changed her name to Caitriona. Because I'm picky! (Mmmm, vowels R us.)

And I made her Relics. I like the names, even if I'm not certain on the grammar. The artifacts themselves aren't good as the awesome one I made for my last Scion char, though.

Relic 2 - Deòir na Brigid / 'Tear of Brigid'
- A Celtic knot pendant with a tiny glass globe at the center, containing one of Brigid's tears.
- Gives access to Health and Water purviews.

Relic 3 - Cionaodh / 'born of fire'
- Celtic sword (uses spatha stats) from Brigid's own forge.
- Gives access to Fire purview.
- +1 Accuracy, +1 Damage.

Jon and I are watching Burn Notice. It's a TV series that's part spy-show with action and occasional drama, and part comedy. Oddly, it kind of half reminds me of Macgyver with more spy elements, guns, and sexy chicks in bikinis. :D It's brilliant. Also the main character's inner monologues about what spies should or shouldn't do keeps making me think of Seventeen ALL the time. XD

It is awesome! And made even more awesome because L.E. Modesitt Jr., the author of the Recluce books (one of my all time most favorite fantasy series, if you don't already know) recommended it. Actually, it was 'cause of his review that Jon and I bought the Burn Notice DVDs instead of the Fringe, which is apparently kind of lackluster.

That's disappointing :( Kind of reminds me how Alias ended up disappointing after having such an AMAZING start. (Spoilers coming, if you were actually planning on watching Alias, ever.)

Time for one of my 'what I've been up to lately' posts. Since I'm not really posting very often lately. (Mostly, as one would suspect, due to RPoL distraction.)

Though before I go to the previous days I'll mention that I went out yesterday, probably for the first time in a couple weeks. :P It wasn't for long but it's something. Jon and I mostly ended up stopping by the bookstore... I got to snag the third Wicked Years book (A Lion Among Men) and the latest Recluce paperback (Natural Ordermage).

I also got another DS dungeon crawly game, Dungeon Explorers. It was only like $20 so why not? It's not the most spectacular of its genre (rather Gauntlet-like actually) but I am happy nonetheless. Dark Spire is the next dungeon crawler I'm *really* looking forward to for my handheld. :3

Anyway, on to summary part 1:

First, Moi dix Mois... or rather, my rediscovery of Mana's music. His album from... 2006? Ish? is utterly awesome. It's called Dixanadu and it just immediately struck me as extraordinary. IMO, of course, but I am thrilled at how the album feels so much like a culmination of all he's produced up till now, a pleasing mix of Malice Mizer (both Gackt and Klaha-era) and his newer work.

It's pretty much hands down my favorite album he's ever composed right now. I haven't been this excited about music since... well, since Portishead's Third I suppose, which was a monumental release for me all its own!

The second awesome thing about today is that I realized I really, REALLY like roleplaying Iria in Selina's Dark Heresy game. I mean, finally! Something Selina and I both enjoy have finally emerged into something we can do together!

And now... Iria biography!

I had a lot of fun writing this one, because of all the Iria characters I have made, this one's story comes the closest to the original Iria from Brigandine. Amusing because Brigandine is totally NOT sci-fi.

There is an interesting twist, as well, for those who know Iria. :P

Don't expect stellar writing, though, I just wrote it up in an afternoon so I could submit it to Selina and be "yay, char iz done!" Now I will go and rest my head and eyes because I'm getting nasty stabby pains above my left eye again, and that usually means I need to listen to my body and let it rest. ;.;
