sailor moon

HOT! also rambly thoughts on self.

Sheesh... totally couldn't sleep (I've slept less than 4 hours so far) 'cause it got REALLY HOT in the room. The sun strikes the window pretty directly around 10-11am now. Whew! Today is apparently shaping up to be a nice early spring day.

I'm going to be out for part of the day at least. Jon and I were going to celebrate our 6th year as a couple (March 9th) last week but instead we're doing it this week 'cause I think I was busy that day, or something... or maybe just not in the mood to go out, I have no idea...

Also I finished watching Sailormoon S. That was a pretty satisfying series, except that I REALLY think the Daimons were weird designs. There were better monster designs in earlier ones! Haruka/Michiru were definitely a plus though and so was Hotaru(Saturn) who reminded Jon and I a great deal of Ryshy/Sophia.

I wish I had the determination to write my story about Ryshy and her mother and etc. but there's two things that tend to hold me back:

Haruka/Michiru!

I am officially(?) a Haruka/Michiru fan. :) Michiru is both pretty and classy, and Haruka (also boyishly attractive!) is a surprising mix of tough and pure at heart.

We finally got to the part in Sailor Moon S where the location of the talismans is revealed. Such a powerful episode... I love how much it shows Haruka and Michiru's devotion to one another as well as to their cause.

I think I could like them as much as I do Utena/Anthy. And that's a lot!

I'm really late to this particular bandwagon, though... I mean, who even talks about Sailormoon nowadays? Of course that also means I missed the whole debate about Haruka and Michiru being cousins and other such nonsense. (That's the advantage of watching the fansubs.)

Now I ponder looking for good Haruka/Michiru fanfic. x.@ it could potentially be a bad idea! But there are always gems in the sea of drivel...

A short post about mostly nothing!

The post I almost made was this really angry, angsty crying post. Mostly about my lengthening absences, my reasons for not trusting others and just... frustration at events in my online past. Maybe I'll post it later, maybe not.

What I've been up to: RPoL posts (set up for a new week of events in Five Coils). Lazing around, helping Jon solve this web riddle/puzzle thing he's doing. Also, we're watching the rest of the first series of Sailor Moon subs. I'd forgotten how totally indecent some of those sailor scout transformations were, sheesh :D but mostly it's been fun to watch and I think I'm going to want to watch all 200+ episodes (yes! including Sailor Stars!)

And Eni I'm really sorry but I can't concentrate on your game stuff at all. :( I suck. :( I just can't get inspired right now to think of any good ideas when it's for someone else's project, and not something I'm putting my own concepts 100% into. Maybe next week but I think this week is kind of a bust, argghhh.

Sleepy again... I was going to post about PSU (since there's been a new event, the Winter Carnival) but looks like I'll do that on Friday (PSU day!)

Last thoughts before daylight (heh!)

Laconica - OMG OMG! It's open source microblogging software!!!11oneoneeleven Hell yes. I can actually *install* this on my webserver. <3 Happy day!! I'll have to figure how to integrate with Drupal (possibly) but I am MUCH more comfortable with having it local than using twitter. (You can see Identica for a live version of this software.

Psyche Labyrinthine - I'm still doing it, but decided, once again, to switch back to Nucleus. All the features I ever want in a small site project always end up being available on Nucleus but poorly done in other similar software (IMO, anyway.) Though, Pivot COULD have been sufficient. The main thing that turned me off, besides the speed issues from using flatfiles, was that you just can't set it up so only registered users can make comments. As Psyche Labyrinthine is a private game, I really needed a solution that allows that.

Sailor Moon - Jon and I are starting to download the seasons one by one. Subbed version (because I like Haruka/Michiru, actually, and wanted to see a version of the series closer to 'pure'). We're on the original arc, episode ~5. I like watching it. n.n
