Utena/Anthy hurt/comfort fic. I read one earlier today and got all "eeee~" about it.

I find it amusing that those two have to be one of my favorite couples in anime OF ALL TIME </kanye> but they're two girls. And I still consider myself straight!

Anyway, I never really thought their gender really mattered. In Revolutionary Girl Utena, that matters way less than the feelings between the characters. As I'm sure I've said before, I think that's what I like about it. Love that transcends gender. That concept has always fascinated me way more than loving, or being attracted to the male gender.

Lately I have been thinking again about my ideas to continue Reborn Again. How I wish there was enough energy and inspiration in my body to do that now! I still need to heal, mentally, though. Everyone's worried about me, because I'm always so worn out, to the point I can't even keep up with my games and I have to keep taking mini-breaks from Dragonrealms.

As written in the Academy OOC on RPoL 'cause I am THAT lazy:

I spent my quiet time with husband watching Twilight Zone episodes and had an awesome steak dinner and apple cider in cheesy looking skull goblets. Before that we went and walked around downtown where it was windy, which was rather unfortunate given that I had a witch hat on and hubby had an ostentatious stovepipe hat. Though a black dude witch-cackled at me at some point, and I even inadvertently ended up trick-or-treating (cause we had to get stuff at the grocery store and they had a candy bowl there. I mean, why not?) So it was pretty thematic! :P

For my standards it was pretty fun though. (I'm such a loner.) Sometime during the night I even got some inspiration for a new game idea I'm slowly building up. It's not Exalted and it's pretty niche, so I don't expect to get people here interested in it... though, I do have a desire to run a new Ex game should one of my other active ones die off.

We've gained an hour and I have to get used to it getting dark around 4:30 pm. o.O

So I'm probably not going to do much this weekend concerning the slicehost (it is week 2 day 1! hrm!) I might even want to concentrate some effort on doing some tag rearranging here, but every time I say this, I get lazy. SO LAZY! All my mind wants to do is write lately.

Though it seems my creativity is at an all time high lately (except for Five Coils, hmm I wonder why...) I even started up another rpol forum, though just for game planning right now.

I posted something there I wrote up for the OVA game which is tentatively called "Rose Revolution Redux". Here it is, just so I have it on my journal too. ^^

I fixed it. It wasn't as bad as I thought. In fact it was pretty easy. Just a little bit of googling and I created my own iptables user chain and it seems to work ok. (I keep wondering if people who are better at sysadmin than me look at my posts and go "lol lightweight" or something. :P)

At least I have LAMP installed now - only part not tested is mysql, i.e. seeing if apps using mysql work on my webserver. I'm going to install phpMyAdmin for that, and maybe start my second week actually dropping Drupal in so I can start fine tuning mysql, php, etc.

Will at least get phpMyAdmin in after I eat. :3 (May update this post)

Jon and I are rewatching Utena while eating din din now. I'm hoping I don't lose my inspiration with the Utena game I want to do with OVA rules - I've just been soooo busy with so many things, so haven't been able to start it just yet.

Also: am hoping to run something with Jon and Selina. :O But, more about that later.

I've made plenty of characters recently. Let me at least list them all (these are the characters I've made since Grace in Sorrow, and the new Brynja I play in FFRPG).

- Sheska Ironfist, Zenith Solar: my ex-dynast blind martial artist, borrowing bits from a character concept based on Shiho from Valkyrie Profile. Got rejected cause someone took the Zenith spot before me. :(
- Ishika Sui, Elvaan Ninja: He's an androgynous looking character whose specialty (besides dual-dagger wielding mayhem) is acting and disguise for the purpose of spying/undercover work.
- Irina, Viera Dark Knight: Conceived as an opposite of Bryn (who is a traditional Viera). This is a Viera rejected by the Wood for having an affinity toward Darkness. Also wields a HUGE SCYTHE (with +5 acc! oooh!)
- Zahra, Viera Spellbow: Yeah, I recycled a name. This is the character for the custom Final Fantasy game I'm playing. Very involved chargen, I created my own Job and Techniques/Spells attached to it!

Then I applied for a game run by one of my Academy players, a freeform game set in a middle eastern location. I decided to take over one of the major players in the political intrigue, a former NPC who I hopefully will start writing for soon. I liked how I wrote this one so I will share it. :)
