I found out last night that Natalie Shneider (I knew her best from the band Eleven and from her work with various artists particularly Chris Cornell) died a few months back from cancer. She was one of my vocalist idols and I was completely caught off guard by the news she actually passed away.

It was mostly because Jon and I were listening to some CDs we've not heard in a while from our collection. One of the ones I picked up was Eleven's Howling Book and I was all "hmm, let's see if they have a new album??" only to find out the sad news.

Then I got the idea for a cover album (well, more like EP, maybe 5-6 songs) that Jon and I could try to put together, as one of Anthegenia Records' first projects. We really want to get at least enough gear together to start on it next year.

And Saturday was really a relaxing day. I didn't really do much of anything... except finally set up my netname on the Concordia site. Man, I can't believe I still have something like 5 months till I'll get a response... I suppose those months will go fast, but still, it seems like forever, still.

I messed with RPoL, as usual... Got to chat with Selina and Grey (he and I don't talk quite enough! and we should :o) and my sis (on Skype, anyway) and I played a bit more PSU (we got Phantom Fissure again, mmmm good drops).

I admit I kinda would like to RP more with Selina and/or Grey again :o I've been telling them about my RPoL games, though I also wouldn't be adverse to some OpenRPG stuff. I wonder if they'd play with Jon and we could have a small fun game. Something that ISN'T all bogged down 'cause of timezone issues, argh. Or they could get into my forum stuff, either way!

So... we got our new windows, but they're not totally done. It looks like they need some finishing work. So we don't have any idea when the guys will come in again to finish it. Jon and I are all sleeping uneasily and it blows. :D

On the OTHER hand it's left me a lot of time to be inspired for gaming. I swear, wtf is with me lately? ALL I want to do is RP. *boggles*

I started another RPoL game which is Realm based and with a very amusing premise... The group is a mixed Exalt one, with the daughter of Sesus Nagezzer being supported by a splinter Sidereal group to reform Realm government, possibly even take the Throne. Splinter because the Sids are actually employing Solars in hiding to protect and aid her task, something I don't think the Bronze would do, and the Gold are too busy with their Cult to bother with.

Another PC is also her Dragon-blood husband to be. I may actually be starting this Realm game with a wedding gala, too! Heh!

So I've continued working on my bbpress stuff.

Found out about WURFL and specifically Tera-WURFL which is basically a centralized database of all mobile phones and browsers. I'm using it to determine whether the browser viewing my bbpress forum is on a mobile phone or not. It works like a charm, so I'm happy about that!

I also found a mobile friendly layout... I'll link it later, it's the "1col_fixed" layout out of a series of basic themes made to be bases for bbpress themes.

I'm tired but I wanted to post a bit...

Earlier, Manze (my friend from DR) was poking me about trying this MMO called Last Chaos (Aeria Games, same makers as DOMO that I tried a little while ago). So I did, and I got Jon to join and maybe Kalli will later.

Here are our characters (I'm the blond healer) and here's a closeup of the mage cause it amuses me Manze is playing this dommie-ish chick (he wanted to play mage, but unfortunately LC doesn't let you choose your gender.) Jon is the knightly beefcake. :D

now, about the rest of the day and yesterday...

Sooo I don't know if I will be around much today, I'm going out to explore another part of Montreal. There's a big gaming store there and I want to see it. May buy a RPG book or two, we'll see.

Tomorrow there is a DR event (White Rose ball) which I absolutely must be around for. n.n I feel like I've been slacking on PSU lately but between my hermit-hiding and various other stuff, I haven't had time to play at all. :( :( I could actually play PSU like, earlier in the day on Saturday though. Or later tonight.

Emberdays - not sure yet. x.x I'm starting to feel more like wanting to run it (being in games where people are all "KILL/TAKE OVER THE REALM!!" makes me all in a Dynast-playing mood, heh) but I feel bad about all the delays. :/ I'll give word about it by the weekend.

Annoyingly, I have both my headache acting up again and my ear infection (which fortunately was minor enough that it seems to be healing ok on its own). Blech, hope today will be fun and not pain.

Well, I've mostly been relaxing this week, and I guess that's a good thing because I'm coming out of a really stressful high. I feel a little bad because I'm being pretty insular lately, hard to reach except in DR... but I really just need some time to myself.

I have an appointment to make my new bank account this Monday (good thing I'm not running ED that week), and I want to start my college application process in earnest by next month. I hope that I'll run Emberdays all right, too, because messing that up could affect my mood and confidence when it comes to accomplishing other more important things.

For now it's just been a lot of Dragonrealms, as I said. I'm either doing interviews for the White Rose, or training Talliska's survivals (at my last count, I need 10 scouting, 7 foraging, 6 climbing, 6 swimming, 6 evasion to catch up to the new Ranger requirements. Sounds like a lot but it was WAY worse before!)

I've been having a hard time figuring out how to write entries lately, for some reason. Like so much has happened, or is in the process of happening, that I just have NO idea where to start, where to end and how to divide it up.

Well, to make it easy for myself I'll open with the easier topic, that is, my return to online life. :O

First thing I did coming back was get back on AIM and IRC, of course. That was on Friday. Immediately had a lot of chatting to do. ^^; I was missed, despite all my usual fears, and that was nice to know, even though for a while there I was thinking about not returning at all.

Well the move got pushed forward again, but it's a good thing, because we're not even done getting the place clean before heading out.

I feel kind of bad, because I told everyone I'd be moving today, but then plans changed. We still have some junk lying around, the walls are dirty, etc. so there's still work to be done. (Edited for clarity :P) But I COULD be around, since Jon is doing most of the heavy work due to me being a worthless loser. I even got on PSU yesterday cause I really, really wanted to try Max Attack G part 2 while we took a break from stuff. Just a couple hours, but still. :/

I feel my life is a waste unless I'm around for people or doing things for people. Maybe people need me around and I'm just flaking out. Like, am I going to come back online at the new place and realize people are upset at me because I could've been around on Fri or part of Sat but I wasn't?

The other thing on my mind right now is about Kalli.

Friday was my day to get out of the apartment for a while. Jon and I walked the whole distance to the mall, that was nearly an hour walk, but great exercise! Kinda tired me out, though, going all that way without even eating beforehand. :x

I almost bought a pretty dress on sale (it was really cute ;.; this kinda offwhite, with brown and burnt orange leafy patterns. I really like those colors on me.) But instead I went and got Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2 for the DS. Does that make me a total dork, choosing video games over fashion? PROBABLY! :D

I came back and played some PSU (it was a lil late though, like 12 am) which was fun, since I haven't played in like 2 weeks. ;.; And then I talked to sis on Skype a bunch while training Talliska in swimming, skinning and combats. We had a nice conversation about various things. Nothing stressful, really. Work, games, etc.
