Iridescent Asaka is a Chosen of Serenity I made for a Sidereal game (now with 100% more Glories of the Most High!) I don't know yet if I'll get in the game, but the character herself has certain similarities to Ryshy. Admittedly, Asaka isn't nearly so fragile or weak but she still was subjected to abuses and unfair treatment from her mother.

Also, possible (but not confirmed, 'cause that's creepy) incestuous father relationship. Oh, how I thought I was done with such things! *peers at Archana*

Asaka is also my first character who's a tattooed woman. Full body tattooed, except maybe for hands, feet and face (mostly for disguise purposes, she may not want everyone seeing the tattoos). She is also my first take on a Chosen of Serenity courtesan, which makes people go "wat!" if they realize how much I normally dislike those kinds of characters. Not courtesans, but people who play up the sexual aspect of Serenity.

I'll be gone on my birthday and most of the day after (23rd and part of 24th). Reason is cause I'm going to spend some time away with Jon, we've got a hotel reservation and everything.

I kinda need to get away from the computer, I think. I have a lot of pent up rage lately and writing is really tiring me (yet I am still up here typing. I think it's because my masochistic streak keeps making me want to deprive myself of sleep on purpose.)

The rage part has something to do with my recent feelings of rejection, too. I do not handle that well, it actually makes me want to just plain cut off and never communicate with whomever I feel rejected me. :P

Oh, I think I said I'd mention these... here are the characters I made lately.

First, Moi dix Mois... or rather, my rediscovery of Mana's music. His album from... 2006? Ish? is utterly awesome. It's called Dixanadu and it just immediately struck me as extraordinary. IMO, of course, but I am thrilled at how the album feels so much like a culmination of all he's produced up till now, a pleasing mix of Malice Mizer (both Gackt and Klaha-era) and his newer work.

It's pretty much hands down my favorite album he's ever composed right now. I haven't been this excited about music since... well, since Portishead's Third I suppose, which was a monumental release for me all its own!

The second awesome thing about today is that I realized I really, REALLY like roleplaying Iria in Selina's Dark Heresy game. I mean, finally! Something Selina and I both enjoy have finally emerged into something we can do together!

I finished Melantha's character profile for Lumi's freeform RP, Devil Summoner: Chicago.

Not my best writing, definitely. But I started getting lazy and just trying to write the ideas out without thinking so much about wording or whatever. The history ended up being mostly about Melantha's mother because I didn't want to make it even LONGER by explaining more. Besides, Melantha's life up until this point is pretty much directly intertwined with her mother's. Up until present time she's pretty much been Beatrice's tool.

My suggestion to Lumi is that the cabaret Melantha works at gets busted at the beginning of the game, effectively freeing her (until Beatrice comes up with some way to get free of prison). So after that she more or less has to figure out where she wants to go with her own life.

Meh... I wish I wrote the profile better, but well, it's done.

Hrm... I was going to write last night, but I was preoccupied working on the DS Chicago version of Melantha. It's not done yet. x.x But it should be today. The hard part I'm slogging through is actually writing a history of Melantha's mother, who in this game is named Beatrice. I'm having trouble with some nitpicky details. x.x But I don't want to skim on writing about her because it explains why Beatrice is so ruthless today, and why Melantha became the way she is.

In any case, last night we managed to get some Westward! in. It wasn't really much, just one round of combat, which had to get cut short 'cause we got started really late :( (personally, I think we should've started earlier! But Darkheart wanted to wait for Grey.)
