heroes of mana

Wooo more games ^^;;;;

Luminous Arc came in today. :D :D Now this game is even more to my taste... it's a good ol' Shining Force style turn-based tactical RPG. Woo! I'm having a lot of fun with it so far, and the chara designs (remember that wallpaper from earlier, with that hawt redhead? rawwwrrr!) are great. Highly recommended, in my book!

To get free shipping on Amazon, I went and grabbed another cheap, older DS game with Luminous Arc. It's called Lost Magic. Basically an action RPG type of game, where you play a boy mage, and cast spells by drawing sigils with the stylus. When I said older game, it's... I think 2004? But it's still plenty of fun today, even if the graphics are mediocre compared to most DS games.

Back home for a bit :O

We're back at the apartment for now. Gotta stay for an appointment tomorrow or the day after, it's one or the other so we'll stay both days I think. Then it's off to Montreal!

I have Heroes of Mana. I couldn't wait to buy it. ;.; I'm playing it now. :D And I've got Sims 2 up and running too, so don't expect me to be very talkative. ^^; Mostly just around to say hi to a few people if I happen to catch them while I'm sitting at the comp.

My impression of Heroes of Mana is pretty good so far. It's more of a RTS than a traditional console strategy RPG. The first resource gathering units you get are cute lil bouncy rabites! RABITES! *bounces them all over the place~* One of the hero characters (Gemiere... there's an accent in that name but don't ask me to find the alt code for it right now, heh!) makes me think of Atma a lot. Which makes me *squee*! :D

I'm going to play more now, so... *plays~!*

I would love anyone who...

...could find me a cheap copy of Puyo Pop Fever for the Nintendo DS. I don't necessarily mean BUY it for me, but... like... point me to somewhere I could get it cheap online! ;.; It's freaking hard to find in Canada now... damn Atlus and their limited production numbers. D:

I already ordered my copy of Luminous Arc, though (buying online is scarily tempting... I'm not even at my own computer and I can spend money! Aiee!) I still want Odin Sphere and Grim Grimoire for PS2, also. By the time I can afford them I might not be able to find them! Just watch!

I decided I'd hold off on Heroes of Mana cause it's a Square game and I doubt it'll be hard to find. But argh! Atlus games! D: I've learned to just get them as soon as they come out if I want them. :P *covets Luminous Arc* I should get it next week sometime. *.*

[Edit: ARGH! Nippon Ichi is gonna hit me in the bank account again with Soul Nomad! ;.; At least it's not out till September...]

Omigoooooshhh games. ;.;

Whyfor must these games tease me with their existence while I have no money to buy?! AIEE. I ended up working up this list of something like 12 DS games Jon and I may eventually want. Fortunately, over half of those haven't come out yet.

The two I want the most, by far, though, are Heroes of Mana (touted as a real-time strategy game for the DS, set in the world of Mana -- I've read REALLY good things about it so far, and want it so bad!) and Hoshigami Remix. HOSHIGAMI FOR THE DS, WTF. And this isn't just a port, this is a full-on remake! As difficult Hoshigami for the Playstation 1 has been to play (I have never finished it, keep getting my arse handed to me), and despite the HORRIBLE and repetitive music score, I like the gameplay system enough that I keep coming back for more punishment (aka, picking it up and playing again!) So a remake only means that there's a chance the things that made Hoshigami bad will disappear, only for the things that made it GOOD to be enhanced!
