Vandal Hearts is apparently getting a PREQUEL on Xbox Live and Playstation Network. Wat! This is for real (here is the IGN article).

I was a HUGE fan of the original Vandal Hearts. The game itself was simple but it had great characters and a bleak plot, and one of my favorite ending songs ever (short, and sung in Czech). I am totally going to download VH: Flames of Judgment when it comes out.

Another thing I am realizing: My World, My Way is so my kind of RPG. Even if it IS super girly. Avalon Code is also my kind of game, for different reasons. I think I like the concept of the journal the most (it apparently lets you collect data from everything in the world and alter them with 'codes'. Mmm, customization.)

But I've seen neither of these in stores. I may order them... though I also want to order Ar tonelico 2 and possibly Odin Sphere. (Ar tonelico is my priority, I want to play through both of 'em!) I won't have money to throw at that immediately, though!

Also some Wheel of Time mixed in (mostly for the Aes Sedai / Warder comparison).

I realize that the following stuff is all pseudosciency bullcrap, but at this point I'm pretty much at the "science so esoteric it might as well be fantasy" stage anyway. Also, most of this is pure indulgence... I'm just playing through Ar tonelico and thinking of how much I want Ryshy to be Alexsei's Reyvateil! *^_^*

I probably can't figure out how I'd turn this into a RP anyway. But I like to write my ideas down!

I've just been relaxing and playing DR most of the day. Let me tell you something -- DR has slow, slooooow advancement. Slower than most any MMO out there. x.x Sometimes makes me feel like I'm doing a lot for a little. There aren't as many RP opportunities as there used to be so it feels less worth it. :/

My illness is getting better, I'm coughing more than hurting nowadays. Maybe tomorrow I can actually play some PSU. I haven't because I might end up having to logout prematurely if I start feeling achy, fatigued or otherwise icky (not to mention my voice is shot right now, which makes Skype an impossibility.) So I've missed almost a week of Firebreak. GAH. Lameness. I will make people play with me at the end of this week! :O

Oh yeah. I got Ar tonelico yesterday! I'm gonna go play it now while waiting for dinner. And then... more rest. Boring rest. x.x But I'll be back on IRC tomorrow for GQ. ^^;

Whyfor must these games tease me with their existence while I have no money to buy?! AIEE. I ended up working up this list of something like 12 DS games Jon and I may eventually want. Fortunately, over half of those haven't come out yet.

The two I want the most, by far, though, are Heroes of Mana (touted as a real-time strategy game for the DS, set in the world of Mana -- I've read REALLY good things about it so far, and want it so bad!) and Hoshigami Remix. HOSHIGAMI FOR THE DS, WTF. And this isn't just a port, this is a full-on remake! As difficult Hoshigami for the Playstation 1 has been to play (I have never finished it, keep getting my arse handed to me), and despite the HORRIBLE and repetitive music score, I like the gameplay system enough that I keep coming back for more punishment (aka, picking it up and playing again!) So a remake only means that there's a chance the things that made Hoshigami bad will disappear, only for the things that made it GOOD to be enhanced!
