My hubby got me an early birthday present. ^_^
...and it's a Nintendo DS! PINK! :D :D And he got me Sims 2 Pets for it. WOOHOO \o/
I used to be all "eh" about the DS but it's actually a pretty damn awesome lil' system. I'm happy with it! It's neat how the stylus games feel more interactive, too (we were just laughing our heads off at me trying to pet my first pet patient in Sims 2 Pets... I was going too slow, then all of a sudden Jon goes "speed it up a bit!" and the dog's all wiggling and getting pluses all over. Hee.)
Hah, I remember myself saying the DS was all gimmicky -- soooo put my foot in my mouth. :D I LOVE it. I wish I could find more utility things for it, you know, like a planner or something! Some sort of word processor so I can jot notes on the run! It feels almost like one of those palm sized things... (Palm Pilots or whatever else they call 'em) that used to be way popular before cellphones kinda absorbed everything those do.
So there was some (lots of) RP after all.
Grey came in for some WD40K about 4:30 pm. J wasn't there, of course, and Kraken was too sleepy to play... but everyone else was there and ready, so we played!
We didn't get much more done, since Grey had more dogs to walk, but at least it was something! Archana got to do her stunt and roll for her prayer (she's pretty good at it so I wasn't TOO worried) and then there was mostly talk, about the refugee camp we stumbled on and what to do with the 300+ people there. Zalia made a suggestion to guide out people in groups and now we're supposed to meet with the refugee camp leader. Who apparently doesn't like fire, either that or likes it TOO much. :D
