Aes introduced me to Kokia several months back...

Fast forward to me messing around with my Youtube favorites and finding vids of her singing. And looking for more of them after, because I was just flat out completely impressed by her music. (I am a sucker for good vocals.)

Kokia really has a gorgeous voice and a unique style. Here are some of my favorites.

Ave Maria, live during her 10th anniversary concert. I would have cried hearing this in person!

Il mare dei suoni, also at the same concert. Amazing song that really shows off Kokia's vocal range and versatility. (Also, nice acoustic guitar!)

Harmony, used for an amazing Suikoden video. My god this is a beautiful song. ;.; The video maker compared the song to 'Exceeding Love' which is also one of my favorite songs ever.

Follow the Nightingale - this was the video Aes sent me. Kokia sings in a totally made up language to beautiful and dramatic effect. :)

I decided to password-lock the Tower RP site.

I think I came up with the idea too prematurely to really pull it off, honestly. And after a few weeks I was starting to reconsider the use of Vanilla, mostly because it doesn't satisfactorily deal with private groups. :(

As much as I liked it I think I may have to go with a more conventional forum, or some sort of blend I haven't thought about yet. It was still an interesting site to set up, even if hardly anyone signed up/posted.

I was also getting iffy about using FFRPG rules toward the end, mostly because my and Jon's characters (as I might have mentioned before) don't fit well into a single class system. Hell even dual seems kinda iffy.

So, sorry to the few of you who were looking forward to it. As I mentioned just now in LJ, I now have an entirely different idea in mind for Tower - creating my own RPG system.

Despite my last post (which is actually an old one I meant to post a while back, anyway) this is actually turning out to be a decent day.

It's Labor Day... it's sunny outside, and I'm gonna have a picnic and day out with Jon as soon as this entry's done. (I just had to write all my thoughts out before going, and it's taken longer than I thought. ^^)

I heard from an old friend today, too. I'm just amazed (and happy) that she wants to talk to me still. I honestly thought we'd just drifted apart due to life events and so on. It happens, and I'd been resigned to it, but a part of me always hoped that we could make up for all that lost time. Maybe we still can. :O

Oh, and on the RP front, I'm joining two more RPoL games. ^^; They're quite interesting and unlike anything I've played before.
