I said "people bore me" and now that I'm more awake (and my headache isn't stabbing just above my eye, ugh) that's probably too broad a way to say it.

I just mostly find myself uninterested in what the average person I meet in RL considers to be interesting topics. On the other hand -- this was mostly where I used to live. I was in the Bay Area, and most of the time, what was on people's minds was either school or work. Beyond what's necessary, I just don't feel like talking much about those things.

Most (not all!) of these people I've met in person seem so focused on their daily lives that I find it... too ordinary? Well, they seem more interested in the moment, or at least the immediate day, than thinking about what surrounds them: other people, the society they live in, the events that shaped the past and will shape the future, philosophical or theoretical topics.

Couple randomly odd/amusing things happened lately:

1) On MSN, someone named "Luc" sent me messages. He(?) called me "Minky". I have no clue who that was but he seemed to think I was someone he knew well and really wanted to talk to. The thing I find the most odd is that I don't remember approving this person to even add me to their MSN list. o.O

2) I just looked at my log of system messages and saw "Login attempt failed for PORNO." (I am even more amused by the fact that putting PORNO in this entry will probably lead to even more of those sorts of logins. :P Fortunately, they are harmless. UNTIL they try to make stupid bogus accounts on my site! DAMN YOU SPAM BOTS)

The system messages Drupal provides are actually pretty enlightening. Now I can finally see what's going on behind the scenes! It pops up messages for all the 404's on darksiren.net, also, for example. There are still a lot due to google not picking up the new links while discarding the old, I think. Bah.
