I'm listening to this album right now (by Red Hot Chili Peppers) and feeling nostalgic. It came out 10 years ago and used to be one of my favorite driving songs. I have very fond memories of driving down the Las Vegas Strip listening to that album with Michelle, Paul and Lisanne.

In fact I used to really enjoy driving a lot. Every time I did it was like a mini-vacation from life. But now I have chronic headaches and eyestrain and likely am not helping that by being at the computer for most of the day.

My car of 11 years (from 1996-2007 ish) was taken from me too due to being ruled by Canadian law to be unfit to drive. I've gotten $4k back for a savings fund, but it's still sad... that car was a big part of my late teens and young adulthood, and took me on that last, long journey from California to Quebec five years ago.

Oy, trying to work my brain around a new college system, 10 years after my first college, is really tough. I had to juggle around a bunch of PDFs trying to figure out WHICH was the RIGHT schedule, and what classes exactly do I need to take and so forth. But I mostly arranged how I hope my schedule will go. I transferred 15 units total (all general ed.) and decided I'd be better off just starting over fresh with CS courses.

So that means I'll be at Concordia University for 6 semesters minimum. That's still taking the bare minimum I need to be a full time student (12 units). The 15 I did decide to transfer helped me out, since the usual Canadian university level is actually 3 years, not 4. Otherwise I'd have to take 15 unit semesters and I so do not want to do that. Instead I'm taking 3-4 classes a semester. I hope it'll not be too much of a strain.

Oh hoh hoh. I am really having FUN with this new Exalted game I'm in on RPoL. I never thought I'd ever end up in a game with a guy who's willing to go all out with the military applications of magitech in First Age Exalted (and in 2nd edition, at that!).

I'm seriously posting multiple times a day in this. :D I don't know yet if it'll take off long term, but it may be the game that could replace Wardragon for me. I mean. Not that I'd leave Wardragon unless it ended, but in terms of Exalted wargaming, the ST really knows what he's doing. AND I get to play with all the Ex2 versions of fun magitech toys and vehicles. As well as Dreams of the First Age backgrounds. And I'm playing a Lunar at the Established level. SO fun.

I'm totally squeeing now because Jon is playing my warbird aerial escort. As previously mentioned, Shu Lesalier is a character based on Mu La Flaga, with incredible stats in Ride, Sail, and other appropriate Attributes and Abilities to make him a consummate pilot. Also Sid Awareness :D

Sheesh... :( I had another post I was working on a couple days ago but decided against continuing it. I might resume it later though.

I'm too tired to make a big post now. (Also I really should sleep. RAR insomnia.)

There isn't even much to say. I think all I do any more is either write for RPoL (finally concluding a big banquet event in the Academy game) or try to get some exercise and psyche up my mood because I really had better be in a good mood when my fall semester comes around.

I did make a couple of other characters recently. Well, only one is close to completion, a First Age Half Moon Lunar named Snow Tempest. There's also an idea I had (still unnamed) for a blind Zenith singer partially inspired by Shiho from Valkyrie Profile. I'll write more about those and other stuff later. Hopefully later as in "a few hours" and not "several days"!

I slept around midnight-1 am and woke at 8 am. Normal sleep hours, whoa!

It was early enough that Jon and I could go take a walk, eat out for breakfast (mmm I had a 'crepomelette', with spinach and cheese, and fresh fruit and multigrain toast at Cora's) and poke around at the game shops.

Games that (still) need buying:
- Ar Tonelico 2 (PS2) (which as I said I have to order, arg!)
- The Dark Spire (DS) (I keep mentioning it, but it's 'cause I really want it!)
- Puzzle Quest Galactrix (DS)
- Also I'm interested in getting Odin Sphere, (Greatest Hits version) but it's kinda optional-ish.

And husband wants these:
- Ace Combat 4 (PS2, we saw it for really cheap used!)
- Street Fighter 4 (PS3, but for some reason it is IMPOSSIBLE to find the PS3 version right now!)
- Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume (DS)
