Sleepy posting; various things

I'm tired but I wanted to post a bit...

Earlier, Manze (my friend from DR) was poking me about trying this MMO called Last Chaos (Aeria Games, same makers as DOMO that I tried a little while ago). So I did, and I got Jon to join and maybe Kalli will later.

Here are our characters (I'm the blond healer) and here's a closeup of the mage cause it amuses me Manze is playing this dommie-ish chick (he wanted to play mage, but unfortunately LC doesn't let you choose your gender.) Jon is the knightly beefcake. :D

now, about the rest of the day and yesterday...

White Rose Ball

There was an Order event tonight like I said... the White Rose Ball. I was a little sad, the ball wasn't all that big a deal like it might've been :( there were 2-3 other events scheduled on the same day, and a lot of people couldn't make it, so that was just sucky.

On the other hand, I got to interact with some new people I didn't meet in game before. At least SOME people seemed to have fun. But I felt a little let down at the end, we didn't even get to do the fireworks. I got some PIRP too... ended up with a RPA, which surprised me. I'm always surprised when that happens, 'cause I just RP cause I like RP... not for any hope for a reward.

I'm also sad how people tend to easily abstract that Talliska is actually bonded, but it's 'cause Saisen is probably the quietest character Jon plays in DR. I suppose Alexsei and Ryshy make a better pair in terms of being sociable though.

The hours leading up to the ball were amusing because Manze was caught up in Last Chaos for a lot of it. And Terra was all "um he said he'd be bugging me all day about the ball, but he was quiet the whole time?!" But he just got distracted by another game, 'cause he's silly like that.

PSU and sound card

Before the Ball I was going to play PSU in the afternoon, but the weirdest thing happened... my audio device just suddenly *disappeared*. I have an onboard sound card, so now I have no idea how to re-enable the device. I've got drivers installed but the drivers have no device to attach to, now.

It's just... weird. It happened out of nowhere, and I'm not sure whether it's 'cause I put the computer in sleep mode or what. Or some crappy Vista quirk (though my machine was made to work with Vista in the first place, so I dunno!)

Anyway, because of that I couldn't play at all. I was way too busy trying to figure out what was wrong. I was going to play with Clark and Jon and Jim and Eni was going to join us too :( but it all got ruined, so I was all "meh" for a while. Like I've mentioned before, we usually play and log into Skype at the same time, and without sound I can't hear people talking on Skype. Lameness.

People suggested that I just go and get a sound card and install it on my computer. I don't even need a tons expensive one. So maybe that will help, but I need the $$$ to buy that, first.

Yesterday's outing

Yesterday might've been ok, but it ended with me getting all upset at Jon. I have a hard time being outside -- I'm very sensitive about my looks and weight. :/ So I ended up using the extra money I had on clothes instead of game books cause I was upset about having really unattractive clothes. I used to put a lot of personality into my fashion choices -- I never liked makeup, but I liked putting together outfits. I still do, but I'm constantly frustrated nowadays because my current weight makes it harder to find clothes I like.

When I'm around people outside, makes me a lot more frustrated about it, because I just... feel like I'm not in the right body. Like all this weight is hiding the real me, and that makes me really frustrated (need to lose more weight argh argh argh). I get easily upset and in arguments in that mood. So that's what happened more or less.

Anyway, there weren't really any game books I wanted to buy... I had wanted to get Dragonstar, but they didn't have it at the store Jon and I visited, and then I wanted an Exalted 2e book (CoCD: Underworld) but they didn't have it. They had Yu Shan but I decided against grabbing it right now. So yeah, I went and got a nice fall coat and new pants and a pretty top. As much as I like what I bought, I keep hoping I'll lose the weight within 2 months to fit in some of my older clothes again.

Ugh anyway, I can exercise tomorrow. sleepies now.
