Today's stuff...

So, I'm like totally food deprived. I haven't eaten all day. I STILL haven't eaten, wtf, though that's being rectified.

Today was mostly me staying indoors because I'm tired of going outside and being all tense and nervous while the music festival is going on. Too many people outside, too much unpredictable noise, so I just stay in. Grrr. I don't like when I get like this... I hope moving will help my agoraphobia a bit. :(

So I told Jon that we'd go and try Alexsei's resurrection quest again. Holy shit that was hard. And frightening. I was leading for most of the quest (as Talliska of course) and was freaking out the entire time about messing up and getting Alexsei and Terra (our friend that came along -- awesome bard and great person, who is also a total comic, book and video game geek!) killed. ^^;

As I probably mentioned earlier, a good amount of the area leading to the resurrection quest area (Maelshyve's Fortress) is submerged in water. So there's a bunch of spots where we have to go running through water while avoiding critters WAY more powerful than us. I kept worrying because I didn't want to leave Alexsei stuck behind, since Talli swims way faster (over 100 swimming) and is better at retreating from foes too (high agility/reflex, mmm!)

The way there was actually mostly uneventful and safe, though! The one part that sucked was when Talliska was crossing the rope bridge and fell at the end. Totally lame. :( 100 climbing with Spider Climb and ranger bonus and I STILL fell. I ended up just pumping up my Spider Climb cast a bit and it was ok.

I totally want to post the log for the quest, because the parts after Alexsei makes it to the Fortress are totally creepy and awesome. Alexsei actually entering the Void, wow! He gets tempted to turn back from the Void instead of continuing on, and then at the end he prays repeatedly to make light return again, and crosses back over the bridge that the gods Berengaria and Alamhif built so that people could return to life by gods' favor. (The Resurrection spell is actually you kind of spiritually going through that same journey and guiding the soul of the dead back to his/her body.)

Getting back was almost MORE scary than getting in. First we had to wait for Alexsei to go back through those 30 second teleporters with Maelshyve Hierophant spawns (that could mess up level 60 characters) threatening him. Then we had to go back through the upper level of the caves with the Maelshyvean cinder beasts -- I nearly got fucked up leading the way back because there's a one-way in the map somewhere that's NOT accounted for, so I almost got us killed getting lost. Then the SAME thing nearly happened in the murky cavern with basilisks / shadow beasts. Alexsei nearly died, too, he lost an arm! But I got them all out alive.

I do NOT want to go back in there for a long, long time. *weeps* Alexsei has his Resurrection spell though, so he rocks! And it was (for all my intense nervousness, ow my chest) totally worth it.

That wasn't all I did today though. Well. I did train Talliska in DR some (and Manze gave me HIS ranger scripts, so I could train using them. :O) Then I played a bit of Mabinogi, too. I hadn't even remembered I named my Mabi character 'Riezsa' (like the Dawn Caste character I made for a one-shot game). She's red-headed and dark skinned. I decided I'd play her a bit -- not sure if I'll play LONG term, but it's fun enough to pass the time. Right now I'm just messing with skills: finding them, learning them, figuring out which I'll train. I'm tempted to do fishing and weaving. Maybe a bit of music.

Oh and one more thing. I decided to make Estrella, Ryshy and Alexsei's daughter, in DR. :D I rolled her as a Human cleric, since she's half Elothean. (I just realized I should get her eye shifts so she has Elothean-like eyes, though!) And she'll be worshiping Hodierna and her aspects. I couldn't actually get her the name "Estrella" though (it was taken) so I settled with "Estrelia" instead. Almost the same, and sounds cool!

Jon's all excited about it... we're starting to play Alexsei training his daughter how to be a Cleric. Awww. ^_^ Still trying to decide what sort of personality Estrella has, but it'll come to me.

Okaaaay, I really should try to eat now. ^^; and sleep.
