Bad day + new Abby chara
Had to cancel Emberdays session. :/ Things were going bad for a while, until late this afternoon.
I'll explain later, maybe. I'm not sure yet how much I want to explain of it. I'm mostly okay, though. I just need some time to myself right now. =_= I'ma also needing to work on Reborn Again RP info, so that'll distract me for much of the week. :O I'm trying to find a hardbound copy of BESM 3rd, which would speed up my working on it significantly.
Anyway, what I've been working on lately... another RPoL character! And you thought I was tired of those.
Huntress of the Seven Plagues - Day Caste Abyssal. Plague-bearer (as per the Debility? I think? But made into a merit) and stealthy archer-type. She's also App 1, due to nasty plague scars. Yes, I'm playing ugly! But not App 0 ugly.
At this typing, I haven't actually put Huntress' sheet up yet, only the bio! (Edit: The sheet is posted now too.) I just wanted to share, particularly because this is a good example of the kind of character I can come up with in a bad mood. :P
I'm actually excited about playing her. She is a Compassion 1 killer. She's disfigured from suffering the plague before her Exaltation. She spreads disease with a touch, or through her blood and saliva and other bodily fluids. The plague she bears can pretty much wipe whole mortal populations out in a matter of days. Definitely not Exalted, but ordinary people, yes.
I kind of like her for being another one of my "Anti-Ryshy" types: her touch harms instead of heals, and she's pretty much forsaken any hope that mortals can work out their differences without pointless war. I love playing against type, and challenging myself as a roleplayer, so this is exciting to me! I just hope that the game I made Huntress for actually lives up to what I created. ^^; That's always the part I'm unsure about, though it doesn't usually take long to figure out if a RPoL game is a keeper.
The other thing I'm proud of about Huntress is that I avoided making her a pretty Abyssal. Pretty much all the other female characters in the game (it's an all-Abyssal game, btw) are pretty girls. I even mostly avoided the assassin stereotype that you often see Day Castes become. The whole "hired killer, got screwed by the boss, gets recruited by Deathlord instead and wants revenge, blah de blah."
Most of all, I just think the idea of being a plague bearing Abyssal is awesome. Thank goodness for the ST! He was fine with me altering a mutation to be a merit. :D
I'm kinda amused that this will actually be my *first* Abyssal I've played as a PC. I've been playing Rosalia all this time, but she's still an unExalted mortal. :O Her fall into darkness is taking a lot of time, but the finer crafted it is, the harder the fall will feel. (Note to self: Nekira's game is on Tues for now. And I should stop calling it Nekigame 'cause it has a REAL name now, that being "Dark Days". ^^)
