Cecily / Cecil Ursebrand

Worked on this yesterday... uh... today. I have to be up for a hair appointment and it's freaking 9 am... no wait. 10 am. *siiiiiiighs at self* Why do I do this to myself? But I had to get the sheet done.

Here she is: Cecily aka Cecil Ursebrand, a young woman pretending to be a male knight. She comes from a patriarchal, rather misogynist country, in fact. Though her father actually treated her well. He was a knight, but died tragically, and her mother blamed her for it ever since.

Cecily's response was to run away and follow in her father's footsteps. Except, in Auria (her country) you can't be a knight unless you're male. :P

After frustrating over it for a while, I've decided I actually LIKE Artesia's system, disorganized book and obsession with tables and all. Even the HUGE amount of armor pieces you can buy grew on me, ever since I realized "oshit... seperate wound areas. JUST LIKE DRAGONREALMS!!!" O.o Srsly, with the Fuzion system that Artesia uses, I could totally create a system for empathic healing (because I love me my wound transference) and it'd fit RIGHT in. Hellllll frickin' yeah.

I guess that despite all my thoughts to the contrary, I kinda DO like complex game systems. I mean, I stuck with Exalted for 4+ years! :P So why not? I might actually want to run some Artesia myself one day. o.O

I really, REALLY like the magic and creative (alchemy, enchantments, etc.) systems, too. There's rules for rituals and everything, and the various religions and cultures are so rich with detail. It's just... lovely. The author thought of everything! Sure there's a lot of things to remember, but you also have the plus that very little is left to question once you DO remember.

Hrm... anyway. I guess that's just my "whoa! I found out I like a non-Exalted game system!" feeling coming out. I'm feeling rather adventurous lately. Like... I really want to give D&D 4th Edition a shot. :O I'm sure I'll end up being recruited for a D&D 4e game without me even trying... hah.

Okay, I need to sleep... bad me. *sigh* I always get these creative bursts when I NEED to be awake for something. WTF?
