Ragechana vs celibacy.

Bwahhaa log time.

I was playing Archana, and kind of... sucking at it because I was having trouble getting inspired. (Wah. But it's really hard to write stunts for normal attacks every turn, and have them not sound the freaking same every time.)

Anyway, Archa is fighting a god of slaughter, and the battle's kind of on the slow side. She's not built for offense as much as defense. So, except for a couple lucky shots from Archa's sword, they're kinda just poking at each other ineffectually. I tried to use Burden of Permanence but it kind of phailed without a combo to boost her damage, which I'm likely going to stunt-learn next turn.

Meanwhile, Archa managed to block the entire damage from the god's HUGE attack. But it also had some funky poison with it, that basically makes you fly into a RAGE. Archa resisted it enough so that she can control her rage, but she's still PISSED nonetheless.

So... I wrote this post basically to show that Archana's losing her cool, and poured into it all of the things that piss her off in life (plus posing her attempt to keep her rage in check.)

Archana Avanti: ...

Rage.

.......when had Archana felt such exquisite anger, and allowed herself to embrace it? So many times she has forced herself to swallow it down, and simply endure. Her wretched wrath for a crumbling world, for their selfishness and inadequacy in the face of danger, for the dead that wished to conquer all that alive, all that is beautiful about life.

Her wrath for her own situation, emotions bubbling up for a man she can never truly have, not so long as she possesses her oath. And yet wishing to defend that oath beyond anything else she has ever committed herself to. The oath for which her sisters died...

Beneath the gauntlets, Archana's knuckles are as white as the jade she wears, as she grips the Windcutter tightly. Any lesser weapon would simply be crushed in her grasp, but the weapon holds its shape as resolutely as she struggles to maintain her dignity. The blood poison wears at her body, eats at the very resolve and determination she has struggled to cultivate, but she does not give in. To give in would be to lose everything she has fought for. Everything she has become.

Focus. Her eyes meet squarely with the Grin's grotesque face, her breath hissing through her gritted teeth. "I see it," she whispers, yet the whisper is nearly a growl. "But understand this. I have never once been gentle in battle... and you are in my way."

So yeah I went for the rage at the dead, rage at the inadequacy and selfishness of the world, rage for the death of her fellow Daughters of Ivory, AND! Rage at her celibacy.

Mwahaha. I mean, how could I NOT do it? Archana is, much to her chagrin, extremely attracted to Seventeen, and she has to spend all this time with him and deny her desires the whoooole time. Serious rage inducing sexual denial. (Grr!) But then she gets angry at herself for even considering the temptation, given that she's the LAST of the Daughters and (at least in her opinion) giving up on her celibacy oath would be tantamount to disrespecting her sisters' sacrifice.

So... lots of rage to go around. XD I kind of felt like a dumbass even putting that into a post during a serious battle, but eh. It was fun!
