Annoying Sims 2 problem x2 (also RP updates)

Okay, so I tried restarting Sims 2 and it just wouldn't start. At all. Jon went and looked for a solution for me 'cause I was busy fuuuming. D: Turns out that I needed to delete my groups.cache and accessories.cache from C:\My Documents\EA Games\Sims 2 (or the Vista equivelant which is more like C:\Users\[myusername]\Documents\EA Games\Sims 2).

I guess either Freetime itself, or the patch, ends up writing garbage into those caches, so I had to delete them to force the game to remake 'em. (Of course, I backed them up first, and you should too if you want to try this).

Other stuff... (mostly RPish)

My PbPs are slow. ;.; Though Jon finally joined the game I'm playing Iyadali in, and Kraken's got a concept for his character. Yay... I'm gonna PbP with hubby and Kraken! Jon's chara just got introduced into the scene I'm in today, so hopefully there will be fun, and I will get to interact with him some before we split off.

I ended up skipping Soul Collectors after all... I really REALLY didn't want to, but I kinda had the choice taken from me when Jon went and told the players himself that I can't run. Soooo I just took the day to sit and play Sims 2 all yesterday night and most of today (and...probably a lot of Sunday, too. You bet I'm keeping it open while I play Wardragon later today! Heh!)

Emberdays, however, went decently. It was really hard for me to start the scene because for some reason my brain blocked at the beginning of it for *two freaking sessions*, but now I'm past the roadblock. I think I can get the plot moving pretty soon. I envision one, MAYBE two more scenes for each group. If there's two at all it'll probably be with Milena, cause Kraken and I have such a small window we can RP together in, due to our schedules. ^^;

But the scene spread is pretty much like this:
- Milena trading words with Zafira a bit more, then Daran coming into the convo. Sana might say hi for a bit too ^^; I figure Milena will go off and talk to Daran alone.
- Unexpected visitor in Lim and Iesan's scene. Possibilities of awkwardness, but also plot forwarding.
- Valeriya confronts Miral, which... actually, I'm really looking forward to. Miral is one of my favorite characters to play.

Once all those finish I can finally have things happen in the party. Between me fucking up (bad) and people wanting to socialize (good), it's taken a LOT longer than I thought to get to this point. Grrah. Annoying. :/

Anyway, all this means I am actually relatively relaxed, and can afford to be so until Wednesday or so. Emberdays shouldn't pose a problem this Mon, so I don't count it as stressful this time around. This is a HUGE relief. On the OTHER hand, because Fiats recruited me for Artesia and Keiichi for Dreams of the First Age, I have sheets to finish. Fortunately, one will be a forum game and the other an every-other-week schedule, so this should actually be manageable once I actually do the tedious sheet stuff.

Fortunately, I have a good idea of how my DotFA chara will be in terms of stats/backgrounds, and I already did my rolls for the Artesia chara, too. She doesn't have a name yet, but she's an Aurian princess whose late father is a knight and mother is a Danian lady, who ends up despising her because she blames her for the father's death. So she ends up running away from home and disguising as a MALE knight. Wooo hooo genderbending. I LOVE playing those kinds of charas for some reason.

Anyway... enough of this babble for now, I'm gonna play more Sims 2! n.n
