Computer update, PSU (Max Attack G) and DR.

Finally... I have most of everything installed right on Saboteur. *pets him* Seriously, I'm glad. Stress makes me really ugly... and I don't just mean physically. I get really *mean* and I get whiny and full of entitlement issues. I'm not really proud of it, given my age. But one thing I've learned about getting older is that it doesn't necessarily make you wiser or more mature. :P

So, in all I've got... Intel Core 2 Quad 2.6Ghz, 4GB memory, ATI Radeon 2600 video card (yeah, it's more like a mid-range, but it's not bad at all :P), 2x500GB hard drives, running Windows Vista. Most everything we've installed on it worked ok except having to figure out what the right cables were for the second SATA drive. :P Oh, and my webcam, only the sound works right now but the video doesn't. Should be able to figure that one out soon though... I hope.

Oh and in terms of software, the only thing I had trouble installing on Vista so far is PSU. I needed to install DirectX 9.0c since DX10 is not backwards compatible. It worked just fine after I did that though, so that's good.

I haven't reinstalled Sims 2 yet. But that's next on my list. :O

Now, speaking of PSU, I got to FINALLY play Maximum Attack G tonight. It was a lot of fun. Lots of rewards, at the least in terms of XP and mission points. Haven't been getting many great drops yet, but I did get a Crimson board and some Soda Riban boards (9* Tenora swords... man, these things have more attack power on them than my 11* spear! But they're slower, that's the kicker.) I ended up synthing a 46% earth Soda Riban, it kicks some serious arse. I'm doing nearly 3k damage with that and Gravity Break.

Oh, yeah, but that's with Fighgunner stats. I switched back! With Max Attack G came the new class level cap, so now I can level my favorite class up to 20. I'm really, really happy about that. Then I can go down the line with my other classes... Guntecher, Fortegunner, Fortefighter, and probably back to Protranser after that (I never got that to 15, only 10.)

Anyway, I got to pull out all those awesome weapons I was saving. In particular my double sabers: two Crea Doubles and two Sweet Deathics. But I also got to bring back my Gizaha-zashi and Two-headed Ragnus. Man, I missed my twin weapons! I'm totally rocking with Cross Hurricane in Max G -- it's become my favorite PA right now. I love Absolute Dance for double sabers, too, but I'm missing with it more often than not, boo. ;.; It might actually work better with bigger critters, I'll have to see.

I decided I'd keep using sword and knuckle, too. I finally got Gravity Break to level 11. It's a slow PA, but pretty much everything with sword is slow. :P With the second part of the combo it might actually be worth using more often now.

And of course, Bogga Zubba is still really, really useful. It's pretty much my favorite PA to use on bigger enemies now, except for Bil de Vears which get their nasty spin-fist attack if I use it on them. (I just use my spears on those. My Dus Robado is pretty powerful now.)

Oh, and the last thing I'm happy about, going back to Fighgunner? It's getting crossbows back! Yeah! Going to keep trying to train them up to 21. :D I also have twin guns, of course, but I'm saving using them only when I need to go into first person mode to aim at something. I'm aiming to get Yak Banga (fire crossbow) and Yak Inga (lightning crossbow) up to 21 first, since they're the closest. Maybe the light element one too, since I already have ice, earth and dark trained pretty high with twin handguns.

Whoo, I'm a dork. But I really love playing PSU... and I'm happy because it's the first fun thing I've really gotten to do on my computer since buying it. Well, besides messing around a bit with Dragonrealms, anyway. I've been training Talliska again, trying to get her to 28th circle before bringing her back down to Zoluren. I'm pretty serious about at least giving a shot at joining the Order of the White Rose, I guess we'll see how that goes. I'm not going to be able to devote tons of time to it -- and I don't think anyone really devotes *every day* to it, even the people that play DR daily -- but if it gives me a reason to log in at least once a week, that's good. ('Cause I still PAY for DR, you know?)

I really ought to get to sleep now though, 'cause I've got two games tomorrow. Fortunately, I slept something like 12 hours last night, or maybe more... I guess my exhaustion from all the computer stuff and giving myself too much to do just caught up with me.

(I have to install OpenRPG again though. Gotta remember that!)
