Back! Dokuwiki updating / Rosalia sheet.
Jon and I brought some picnicky food and sat on some benches overlooking the St. Lawrence, between the long stairway leading up past the docks. It was relaxing and indeed as warm as the weather report promised! I sat there scribbling notes for Rosalia while Jon played Shiren the Wanderer (Eni: he says it's really hard. Like, possibly tediously hard, what with death being very punishing, making you start over at level 1 and all.)
Now that I'm back, I was going to type out my Rosalia stuff, and saw that Dokuwiki version DarksirenWiki is running needed updating. The notifications would have bugged me all through the sheet typing if I didn't upload the new version, so I did. But I think I am going to save upgrading Kalli's wiki till the current release is no longer a release candidate. :O
I'll backup when I update, of course! Not going to lose Kalli's awesome infos. She is storing info there for a steampunky LJ RP she wants to run, RL world based but with a very interesting alternate history, and I am 90% convinced I'm going to play a guy in it. XD
(Actually, it's a concept of mine that was supposed to be a Journeys Sidereal. I see him as being this highly educated, gentlemanly railroad tycoon / travel agency owner. I thought of playing another version of Clarissa, but, I have been tempted by the guychar-ness. He needs some more fleshing out than "trains and traveling, oh my!" though. Eheheh.)
(Also, why do my guy chars often end up blond?? o.O My vision of him is definitely a 30-something blond. Hmm!)
Anyway, the Dokuwiki updating took me longer than I would have liked because I had to figure out why my wiki was no longer replacing 'doku.php' with 'index.php' on the URLs. I figured out a couple of things... first of all, I had the wrong version of index.php uploaded. The one I had there basically forwards index.php to doku.php, but I needed one that actually replaced the constant "DOKU_SCRIPT" which determines what PHP script is used to build the URL.
As per this suggestion I put the define statement in index.php, which is what I've been doing all this time. Except... I guess that with the new versions of DokuWiki -- or perhaps PHP 5, which I installed recently, not sure -- it seemed that something was overriding the index.php define statement. I did the sensible thing, then, and just moved the define statement over to my local config file, instead. After that it worked okay again. Rawr! I have my index.php URLs back and I am happy.
And now I am going to writewritewrite Rosalia's sheet uninterrupted until I finish tonight. *shakefist*
