Hate. Tags. D: and quick-ish RP update.

I just don't want to ever. mess. with website tags again. x.x

It's much harder to mess with them AFTER the fact. I have this nasty perfectionist streak, which doesn't help things. I always want to FIX it better. I'll go through the old posts and go "I should've used that tag and that category" or "this has too many categories, must be something wrong with my organization system!" and so on.

I don't even think I'm satisfied with it now, but I don't think I will EVER really be satisfied, now that I think of it. Even before the big tag change, I didn't really like them. I do think it's *better* now than it was before. But there are things that need to be addressed still.

I'm just going to do them later. =_=

I have Emberdays to work on all today and Monday. The upcoming scene is going to be rather big--haven't had the PCs in a party since the very beginning of the game. It's a pretty damn high profile one too, and I've got to figure how I'll portray all the guests without going overboard with descriptions and too many aliases.

Well duh -- of course I just have to consolidate the descriptions to one alias, and only go into detail for the people the PCs actually interact with. Still, I plan to type out at least a basic description (as in, hair color, eye color, complexion, build) for each of the party guests, as well as three things pertaining to each of their outfits: colors, style and motif. Like, Sanahra's look from the Undying Embers gala would have been something like...

Sanahra

Hair: flame red
Eyes: smoke grey
Skin: fair
Height: above average
Build: athletic

Outfit

Colors: red, orange, gold, green
Style: flamenco dress
Motif: tiger lilies
(or it might've been orchids or some such but I forgot ^^)

I always tended to have Dynasts wear pretty much whatever they want to their own parties, whether it's more Chinese style (as most of the Realm is portrayed to wear) or something outlandish or imported or haute couture. So flamenco dress is totally game, so would Victorian tea gowns or ballroom gowns or whatever. Suits could be worn instead of robes... whatever! So long as it's formal wear.

Anyway, that's what I have to work on when I wake. :O I have Wardragon to play in a few hours... well, I THINK I do, anyway. Not sure if Archana is actually supposed to be there.

Earlier, I got to play some 1890's game, too. It ran a little short but then Selina's game has tended to so far. Mostly, Caytlin's fabulous First Age locomotive, the Silver Sparrow, caught up with the train we've been trying to catch, and we boarded it. I got to play a bit with setting up Clarissa for the combat to come -- charm activations (still thinking of putting up Expedient Blade Form), and readying her Mourning Blade (really, just the blade sheathed into the Scepter of Mourning.) Of course, I shouldn't say "just", concerning the blade; being able to double the effect of the Lesser Sign of Saturn is a formidable power, especially with the kind of accuracy I know some of the other PCs can pull.

I decided she would have modified some of her traveling skirts to allow her thigh holster to be easily accessible, too (she has a revolver strapped to her thigh). I didn't describe it in detail, it's just a ribbon seam that takes some time to weave together but easily pulls out when needed.

I'm glad I seem to finally be settling into how to play Clarissa... it took long enough. =_= I think I write her rather terse, but I don't really see her being all that flashy, anyway.

Gwah... bedtime now. x_x
