What an amusing day. :D

By Dark Siren Sally - Posted on 24 February 2008 in Characters, Links, Roleplaying, TV

So I'm kinda sleep-deprived (sleeping from 9am to 2pm sucks, yep!) but I'm happy!

A few random amusements:
- This scan of a letter on doingitwrong.com makes me very, very sad... for the education system, that is.
- Eni showed me the 100th Mythbusters episode which was apparently a Macgyver special! Jon and I watched it, and I was very, very much entertained. :D :D
- I found this mirror of a very old site of mine that was meant to be a risqué sort of fangirl shrine to my favorite male characters back then. It's on some archive site with sex ads appended to the bottom and the 404 messages now. When I saw it I said "WTF?" (Warning: if you look at the link, this was a page I made something like 9 or 10 years ago, so it's rather embarrassing on my part. :P Also, it's unfinished!) I should probably try getting it removed...

Also, we played Wardragon today, and as usual I lots of fun!

Man, I must have little excitement in my life 'cause it was really a highlight of my day. :D The PCs went to a dinner with the Lunar warlord that invited them, and it turned out to be this big shindig with all the high ranked officers of the armies stationed around Hollow.

Few of the PCs were happy about it, except Sky who seems more accustomed to social situations, I think. Archana has social *skill* ... but mostly skill applied to leading armies, making speeches and prayers. She's a little too serious for a social gathering. Hehe, she's rather stiff, actually (though i amuse myself with the idea of people trying to

Also, she feels a little bit bad enjoying a full course meal with people starving out there. Thing is, it's not necessarily certain that distributing the food more evenly throughout the city would work either... I mean... hey, communism failed! >.> <.< So Archa is more disappointed in stuff like having private flying palanquins and indulging in comforts the common folk will never have. I think she is the type of person who will eat what her troops eat, sleep in the condition her troops sleep, and let them see that she is willing to suffer with them, not make them suffer for her.

Still, she didn't make a huge deal about it, just thought "You know, maybe you could at least give up a little of your luxury that you don't actually need." What Archa really wanted to hear about was the state of Creation, so I had her ask about it when the meal started (and Grey delivered, but he had to write a pretty lengthy response to cover everything, so I felt a little bad. ^^ It was a great post though, and very enlightening.) The scene ended with a big name Solar entering the party, so it looks like there might actually be plot advancement (dun dun dun!) considering that we're at dinner with a Lunar, a Solar and several officers ranked kazei (colonel) or higher. Whoa!

Archana, in comparison, is seriously outranked. Hehe, she is basically somewhere between a lieutenant and a captain in rank, I think. Not as sure where the others fall rank-wise because they are either specialists, civilians or part of a different hierarchy (like Sky). But it didn't matter either way because the Lunar hosting the dinner had the PCs there as favored guests, and let them sit at the front of the table.

There was a point I was worried people would recognize 17 and call him out for his traitorism, but the only ones that noticed didn't actually say anything. I caught only after the fact that the woman that gave him a look is probably another one of the Noose inmates, too. (The Sigil-brand that marks them as inmates is usually at the base of the neck, and she rubbed her neck there.) I almost had Archa shoot a glare back, but decided she'd hold back her glares for if anyone actually tried to slander or lay a hand on him.

Actually, now that I think of it, she was rather sultry looking... damn, I sure as hell hope she won't try anything, because Archana will be very upset. Like, really uncharacteristically upset. :D On the other hand it could be rather fun to play out. Poor Archa. She loves him, but she can't do more than admire the wrapping, so to speak... any other woman (or man for that matter) without her oaths could just get all that wrapping paper right off. *cough* Rrrrr, the thought just makes me go "noeeeees, MY 17!" I mean, I know that Jon isn't interested in playing 17 getting seduced by some other chick, but it's not impossible that one could try!

Geez... 10 years later and I can still be a serious fangirl. ^^; But all my character obsessions are Jon's characters, nowadays. I get 'em allllll to myself. I don't get self-conscious about it any more, like I used to. I actually think the RP we do keeps our relationship interesting.

Hrm *yawn* think I should try to nap, though... didn't get enough sleep... after I get some rest I can try to finish the writeups I'm doing for Emberdays tomorrow. Woohoo!
