Anniversary dinner, Emberdays babble (and Macgyver!)

Gonna go out for dinner with husband ^^ Since we didn't get to celebrate our anniversary yet. We're going to a steakhouse I think, 'cause I wanted red meat and red wine. Wooo, carnivorous boozing!

Yesterday, I ran a couple of ED scenes (as I'd planned before remembering "oh yeah, it's my anniversary!") It went all right, though as usual I couldn't get things done within the time frame I hoped for. :/ I dunno if I'll get to run ED again until next year, either, except for finishing a scene with Kraken on Thurs. I may need the time anyway, the next part of Jon and Selina's is a battle, in a locked vault of records, with a pyro trying to burn them down. I may even make smoke inhalation an issue, but I'll have to think about it. Heh.

I kinda wish it could've gone faster, I didn't mean to seperate the group for so long. I'd really not wanted to at all, but it made sense at the time, right... right. n.n Well, bah. Next year will have time for people to all play together, right? :( I feel like I'm just screwing up so bad because of issues like that. =_=

In all honesty though, I actually kinda enjoy building up all this mystery for Milena to unravel (how'll she get to the rest of Jakuro's info?), and building up expectations for Lim and Valeriya. I was wondering if I was laying on the hints too thick, but they both wanted the truth so much they purposefully sprung the trap. ^^;; Vermillion Rose is probably the flashiest I will ever RP -- she's the ordinary girl by day, pyromaniac / fetish costumist at night, one of the Jackal's many tools who's bitter about her lot in life. As Lim mentioned, she actually appeared earlier in the game, again using her favorite blend of arson and assassination to get rid of evidence. She was dressed all gothloli back then, too. This time I went for a crimson dominatrix look. :P Not very Realm-ish, but... she's supposed to have a very unusual fashion sense as the Vermillion Rose persona.

As for Jacek, well, it should be obvious *what* he is, but which one...? And why? There are many of *them* in the City right now, in fact, for what will happen during Calibration. 'Course, I'll be lucky if I make it to Calibration by the middle of next year :D but whatever. That's about when the game kinda explodes to a point where I have noooo idea what will happen next without the players giving the game some direction. o.O So it could just end there. Or it could keep going. Who knows.

ED wins as one of the slowest games ever made :P

But given how many problems I've had with it, it's lucky I've gotten this far. I won't count my blessings. I'm just gonna try to get the game to the point I wanted to since I started.

But I'm really looking forward to just taking a break from everything. Just letting myself *sleep* more has been great. I was probably in bed for 10 hours last night. I feel kind of bad that taking a break includes me isolating myself a great deal, but... eh. It's not THAT bad. I still think I'll play PSU with people, and I'll probably visit a few IRC channels now and then, especially to give holiday wishes.

I want to stay on ICQ, too, except that for some reason, since I've been putting my status on occupied more, I seem to have gotten my ICQ# a lot of spam traffic. And I mean, a LOT. Even when I switched back to private, I had over 10 messages from spammers when I woke up. So very lame. I wonder if it really has anything to do with having a low # or whether it's 'cause I have that number online in some places. I may just have to give in and get a new number, after having the same one for... what... 10 years? Grrrr. Stupid spammers. :(

Well I could at least give Selina and a few others my new ICQ# if I get it. That'd work out ok, maybe!

I'm hungry now so... time for going out :O We're going to get more Macgyver episodes, too. :D We're just about finished with season 4. The 4th season is one of the best ones yet o.o there's some really clever episodes in there, and it's obvious the series got more and more funding over the years from how popular it was back in the day. I still think Macgyver is awesome to this day, though, even if it's all late 80's / early 90's ish. It's especially funny when they talk about technological advancement and I'm like "man. That shit's 20 years old!" XD I wonder if a modern, as in 2000+ Macgyver would even be as interesting as a late 80's one. Technology is just so different nowadays, I wonder if his methods would even still WORK. Well, making bombs out of cleaning chemicals will probably always work. XD
