Sick today x.x But first, a catchup post.

Ugh. I'm really sick today. Late last night (after the ADoA scenes I played all day) was, let's just say, a high stress moment. So I was pretty worn out and depressed the entire night. Didn't help my throat ache much, so now it's even worse today. x.x

Jon got me some medicine so I managed to stay up for WD40K. Deirdre came up with a plan to bind the dead god in Binzheng, Shas Na. Did some prep rolls before we left, etc. But we still had to sneak across the city to get to where Shas Na is kept, and Archana screwed up her stealth roll. Figures, huh? :P I even tried stunting it, but I nearly botched it (spending a WP is what saved me). So now she's all Ivory Dragon Form and ready to kick ass. I hope getting caught doesn't ruin Deirdre's plan though. x.x

After that I popped onto DR briefly to get Atma and Iluun rebonded. We found a nice cleric who gave us a rose for free (thank goodness!) so it wasn't much trouble. :D Should be the last time we have to do that, since I'm sure Atma's not changing classes again!

A bit of post catchup (aka things I might've posted last night if I weren't so... preoccupied):

ADoA: Windia continues!

Col's been trying to get ADoA running on a specific schedule, which many of us players appreciate. It seemed to work well yesterday, got a lot of scenes done or at least progressed on! I played a couple of scenes. One of them was talking with Sister Torment after taking down that ship-behemoth and the Pale Captain, which was supposed to be mostly Izabella's thing but I had Ryshy help it out since Eni was also playing Aria (her Sid NPC that's Gennadi's disciple) in another room.

The other was the bigger one -- the battle enactment in Windia that would give the de Windia sisters a chance to be heroines against a Bishop cultist and cronies. Ryshy's role there was to act the saintly healer and take care of the wounded in the attack. No one was actually supposed to be injured, not seriously anyway, since the whole thing is a performance meant to wow the populace. But the plan actually included shooting bone rockets at children -- gently, since Aria (who used a Resplendant Destiny to appear as an Abyssal) is a good archer -- and Ryshy didn't know that until it happened. ^^; Poor Ryshy.

It turns out a good amount of people were hurt, and Ryshy's quite upset. The plan DID work but at the cost of putting innocent children in danger. Of course Ryshy healed them, but the principle kinda rankles her and I do want her to at least express that, even if no one will listen to her. At least just to say "if you're capable of this, how far will you go to get your way? and what does that say about you as rulers?" Not necessarily to cause dissent, but just to gauge the people involved by their reactions to her question, I guess!

Next week I'll get to see how that goes, but I'll have to say it quickly... I don't want Ryshy to hold things up. :P

Friday's outing

I never did mention what we did on Friday because as I mentioned in the last post, it ended kinda sourly. Things have only gotten better since this morning, and I'm glad for it.

Friday started out with us going out to one of the malls we don't often frequent. We wandered there a few hours. I bought an outfit I like that was significantly on sale (a brown tweed skirt, and a cream top with brown floral designs on it, kinda art-deco ish I guess). At some point we stopped and had a strawberry frozen yogurt cone each (mmm.) I was thinking of buying the first two Trinity Blood DVDs, too, because they were selling at 2/$30, but decided against it after passing by Stokes and seeing a nice fondue set on sale. It was only $20 but was originally $75 or so, I think? Anyway, it was a great deal and I always wanted a fondue set, so we bought it!

I really wanted to try the set that night, but we also wanted to go and see Pirates of the Caribbean 3, so I suggested that we go to the grocery store, buy the fondue meat and broth and fixings, bring it home and have a snack there, and leave for the movie after. It was actually opening night for World's End, so we could only get the last showing of the day (10:35 pm!) Fortunately that gave us more than enough time to do what we had to do -- enough that I was stuck standing in line on my excessively aching ankles (ow!) for what felt more like an hour than 30 mins.

I won't spoil the movie at all, but it was *great*, easily the best of the three Pirates movies. Plenty of twists and changes of allegiance and stuff. It's long (3 hours ish) but full of action and fun! :D I enjoyed it a lot.

After the movie let out, we got home to prepare and eat our fondue. Well, more like Jon prepared :P I was sitting and playing DR, training Atma's survival skills. Took a little while 'cause he had to clean the fondue set, bake the potatoes, cut and boil vegetables and all that. But it was worth the wait. We watched a Macgyver episode during our fondue party for two. :D It was fun and really tasty... we still have more meat left for more, too.

After that is kinda where I got upset about something stupid and I'd rather not talk about that.

Rest time -_-

I'm just about ready to conk out in bed... I want to be rested for Emberdays tomorrow. Sucks that I have to be sick that day, so I have to TRY and get better! x.x
