Bwahhaa log time.

I was playing Archana, and kind of... sucking at it because I was having trouble getting inspired. (Wah. But it's really hard to write stunts for normal attacks every turn, and have them not sound the freaking same every time.)

Anyway, Archa is fighting a god of slaughter, and the battle's kind of on the slow side. She's not built for offense as much as defense. So, except for a couple lucky shots from Archa's sword, they're kinda just poking at each other ineffectually. I tried to use Burden of Permanence but it kind of phailed without a combo to boost her damage, which I'm likely going to stunt-learn next turn.

Meanwhile, Archa managed to block the entire damage from the god's HUGE attack. But it also had some funky poison with it, that basically makes you fly into a RAGE. Archa resisted it enough so that she can control her rage, but she's still PISSED nonetheless.

Well, let's start with the SC stuff. Basically, I'm still short on players and I'm going to cease nagging the people who are taking their sweet time getting back to me. Soooo... hopefully that'll leave me with 4 players without having to beg someone to play. (Argh.) I have no clue where I'll find another player, either.

Sometimes just think it's not even worth bothering to start SC. Kind of getting jaded about it and I haven't even run it yet. I just wish finding players was easier to do. :/

As for the DR stuff... well, it's not much. I went and got Talliska her first favor from Tenemlor (because Simu recently added favors to Prydaen gods, boggle). There was a bit of RP involved in it because Talliska had sworn off worshipping the Prydaen tryptich (Eu-Demrris-Tenemlor) for a while, and I wanted to play out her reasons for returning. I've posted the log below.

So, Kalli wrote me a late birthday present. :O

It's a ficlet! It also so happens to have some yuri in it. ^^ (Winry/Sheska, from Fullmetal Alchemist. Thooough, it also implies some Ed/Al -- yaoi AND incest, whoo -- as it follows the events of her other FMA fic, Agapē.) The dedication she wrote in the beginning is *really* touching, too... I truly appreciated it. Never thought I'd say "YAY my friend gave me yuri as a present." XD

Anyway, all that babble aside, here is the fic: Treading on Dreams. OH and both fics I just linked are FMA-spoily so beware!

Following on the odd and unexpected incest theme is this lil IRC log from a few hours ago that amused me. XD (I'm Mieu, and Minna is my RL sister, just so you understand).

I spilled water on my keyboard, that was pretty lame! I think it's working ok now, but it scared me for a bit!

Earlier, Jon went to the internet center next door to print out our latest batch of immigration documents (yeah, we have a printer, but can we afford more ink... nope! :P) and he surprised me by logging into AIM and messaging me. It was cute. :D

It reminded us a lot of the old days, like, when we were still in a long distance relationship and couldn't actually see what each other was typing just by looking at the other's screen. It made me think of all the things that attracted me to him when I fell in love with him online.

I also said later on that I think I'll really enjoy it when I'm in college and get to send him random messages between classes on my cellphone or laptop. Not that I have either yet, but I will when I'm attending Concordia. Hopefully I will be. n.n

The Porn Myth - Manu posted this on his LJ. Very interesting article about how the profusion of Internet porn affects the sex lives of young men and women. It's actually an old article (2003ish) but still applies to plenty of people today, IMO.

I should reiterate that I am not anti-porn in the slightest, just anti- the fact that, for some people, it's replaced or superceded real sexual experience, or become a bar by which to compare the real to (thus creating unrealistic expectations).

The other thing I feel like posting about here to remind myself about is: BRIGANDINE RP! :D :D Lumi gave me the idea on IRC and now my brain is churning to try it. It will probably be a forum RP, actually! Boggle that! I think I will actually make it with Brigandine type stats, but mostly freeform the scenes and combat. Kinda like how Castle Caelsent was back in the day.

My reaction to Lumi mentioning Brig RP was also quite amusing (IRC quotes ahoy!)

Read the log!

Man. I just took my bike for its first test run. Biking is harder than it looks when you're (re)starting out. OW. I'm still all wobbly. I didn't even get to trying to do turns yet, just went up and down an inclined street for a bit.

A lot of the time was also spent with me sucking at even getting on the bike and pedaling. Haha. :P Duurr, start with the pedal up, not down!

Anyway, I tried to ytep, er, type about it on IRC and this is the result. (Incidentally led to pondering a Recluce RP. ARGH why don't I know anyone else who likes L.E. Modesitt Jr's Recluce series. ;.;)

Archana confronts Seventeen - a WD40K mini.

I was gonna play ADoA, but it didn't happen, so Jon and I played this instead. I really liked it, longwindedness and all. (I doubt anyone else would like it ^^; Jon and I envisioned this scene for months before we played it, so there's a lot in it... a lot of emotion that wouldn't make sense out of that context, I think.)

I also played for way too long. The regular WD40K session was just before this, after all (in which we got seriously Siderealed. MAN! I SO did not think Ai-Jie was a Sid!) Seriously, though, my butt REALLY hurts. I'm going to have to take a RP break for a day after Emberdays. I need some exercise. :P

I still have more stuff to write, too, though. x.x But I will finish that when I wake up (mostly scene setting for Lim/Garenth).

I have bunches of things to catch up writing about, mostly RP things, but I just had to post this bit of IRC log. :D Let's just say it's a case of misunderstood meaning going waaaay too far. XD

The part while I left the channel is where it's really a blast.

Today I'm pretty sure I'm going to be out most of if not all of the day. It's nice and warm and I haven't been out beyond exercising (btw, I lost another pound yay! Just gotta keep keeping them off!)

And when I get back, I wanna go and at least just check out the new stuff at PSU 'cause Operation Firebreak started. :O Actually, I'm hoping there's new clothes in the update too, but I'm not getting my hopes up. At least there will be Grinder A boards... Or so I've heard. (Brief Reina update: Level 58, halfway through Fighgunner 8. Wow. I've gone a long way since 6 months ago. o.o)
