We're leaving pretty soon to get my sis! Yay!!

Unfortunately it seems she's arriving on one of the coldest days this month. Geez, it's FREEZING even inside. ;.; Doesn't help we have such big windows though, and the finishing touches haven't been done on the frames yet.

Ohoh I had the opportunity to try every one of my games yesterday, too. I have run after posting this (just got call from sis, she'll be here in 2 hours!) but I wanted to post some short impressions, and a bit about other games Jon and I want.

Also, bonus chara artwork! Mostly 'cause I think Selina will appreciate.

So, I really like Atlantica. The reason mainly being because it's a free to play game but with a system that deviates noticeably from the norm.

First, a screenshot: My character (Aemris) and Jon's (Shiren) in Sapporo, one of many Atlantica cities (the geography of Atlantica is based on the real world, but with a lot of fanciful elements and interpretations of history).

Like most MMOs, you make your own personal character. You've got quests mostly collecting things and talking to people and stuff like that. There's a crafting system. And so on. But the part that I find really cool is actually the strategy game aspect.

I'm tired but I wanted to post a bit...

Earlier, Manze (my friend from DR) was poking me about trying this MMO called Last Chaos (Aeria Games, same makers as DOMO that I tried a little while ago). So I did, and I got Jon to join and maybe Kalli will later.

Here are our characters (I'm the blond healer) and here's a closeup of the mage cause it amuses me Manze is playing this dommie-ish chick (he wanted to play mage, but unfortunately LC doesn't let you choose your gender.) Jon is the knightly beefcake. :D

And lastly (for tonight), here's some amusing "lookit us be stupid on OpenRPG!" screenshots.

Where da Hoot? - named so 'cause of the shoop da whoop face Jon and I drew and my monocle (suspiciously missing an ORLY owl.) This was the result of us testing out the whiteboard and degenerating into intarweb lulz.

Entertainment and Ataraxia - proof that we did, indeed, use OpenRPG to play hangman. I would've only saved one example of this, except "Ataraxia" amuses for being both Kalli's hangman word and the name of her Maple Story guild that she ran. XD Dork points! (I think Jon got his for recognizing the word as one of Raja's skillz in Phantasy Star 4. Mwahaha.)

I have no other words for this. Except the three of us ought to get together to play stuff online some more. XD

I forgot to link this, it's a guide to S-rank Maximum Attack G. Later on, there'll be another area added, the Ruins, which will change the end of the mission. But, for now this is accurate.

And here's Reina's new outfit! Basically, Sega rolled in the PSO outfits and so I built her a new look out of a female hunter and female ranger getup. I can't remember the stupid PSO names so I won't use them. :D Anyway, she's wearing hunter/ranger clothes, and looks pretty badass, both of which are appropriate for a Fighgunner. :D

(Heh, you can also see that I'm running PSU on 1024x768 now, and high end graphics.)

I should stop being distracted by PSU for now though. ^^;

Ooooo, I found a 11* spear board in PSU! ^__^ It's a Muktengek!!! EEEeeee! I'm squeeing like a fangirl over a weapon in a MMO! This is really dorky! *blushes*

But it's just kinda nice to be surprised with a cool drop when you're not even actively looking for it, you know? (I got it doing the Moatoob Boost Road with Jon, Clark and Jim.) I didn't have the materials for the Muktengek board right away, so I traded Clark my Muzzlefever (10* machine gun) for 3 Catilium and 3 Mot Walna. It would've probably cost me 2 mil just to buy those materials, so I think it's an okay trade!

I've been fairly lucky with S weapons, though, now that I think of it. Reina's collection includes:

Well, Jon and I leave in about an hour. In the meantime I've baked something like... 10 batches of cookies? But a couple of them failed, I put too much flour in one and another had too much sugar coating so the outside hardened too much. Boo. I can tell I'm rusty at baking, but I really only do it for special occasions now -- I don't want the temptation of eating too many baked goods. :P

I made chocolate dipped macaroons, snickerdoodles (always thought that name was amusing ^^) and sugar-dusted almond cookies!

Between baking, I've also been uploading a lotta PSU screenshots, including the rest from the original PSU (page 29 and onward) and the all-new Ambitions of the Illuminus screenshots. They're all still unsorted (except by date), sorry ^^;

I'm kinda losing interest in finishing my Shadowrun chara sheet since I realized no one gives a crap either way if I play in that game or not. :P So... I've just been sitting around playing more PSU and Etrian Odyssey. Well, besides the fact I was feeling headachy most of yesterday.

Speaking of PSU, I finally got Reina some new clothes! This right here is a screenshot Jon did for me of what Reina looks like currently. +++ for the capturing her in mid-fire, with the crosshairs and all. :D She hit level 62 not long after that screenshot was taken, too.

I just dumped a BUNCH of PSU screenshots into my Gallery. Why... I don't know! Especially since those screenshots take up something like 50 megs of space. But I thought a lot of them were funny. Not that many people would be crazy enough to sort through the entirety... ^^;;

Looky, it's me! Or rather, Shimazu Kikami, my chara in Shin Megami Tensei Online: Imagine. XD

So Lumi was pining for Imagine, and Selina, being helpful in her own way, went looking online for info about it. She brought us this gem: a forum thread by someone playing Imagine, which was thereafter being used as a repository of info for registering and navigating the game. (Particularly for us English speakers!)

But the best news of all is that the game, at least currently, is free to play! OMG WUT! That piqued MY interest, despite the fact I was about thinking of playing PSU moments before. FREE! So with that knowledge in hand, Lumi and MJon and I went and registered and downloaded the client. (The account registration part starts by asking for your email address, then sending an email confirmation link, which you click to complete the registration.)

I GO! INTO THE GREAT UNKNOWN!
...actually, I'm just gonna spend some time out with my husband. :D

MAYBE I will get my hair cut today, but only if I can find a good place with an open appointment. If not, I'll make one. Hair so ugly. :(

Oh and I leave you with this: Reina's new "Moatoob flavored" outfit in PSU. Got it last night as soon as the updates finished. The pic has horrible quality, but I just converted it in M$ Paint (I save the nice quality photoshop JPGs for the Gallery--which seriously needs filling. Also, need to take more screenshots of Eni and Lumi's chars. :D)
