But I'm sitting here playing DR on the new year. Yeah, I'm a dork. Jon and I have our hotel reservation and stuff, though! We just wanted to do it post holiday so it wouldn't be too crazy outside. I'm not one for loud noises and crowds. :(

Talli is circle 44 now. Flying through the ranks with my improved scripts (need to write a short bow one now!) In fact I've been scripting all day while beating my head over this horribly difficult post in Soul Collectors which I FINALLY finished. x.x I am seriously hating Exalted combat right now. I either need to be better organized, or White Wolf needs to stop having rules for similar concepts (i.e. mutations, undead, etc.) spread over TOO MANY different books.

On the other hand Selina said she might run a FFT game and let me play a viera in it. Sounds fun. We are both going to be busy with college entry stuff this Jan, though. Ugh, not looking forward to it, I've been procrastinating this time around because of how discouraged I felt last time I applied but couldn't go. I intend to send before Jan 15 though, one way or another. I just hope they won't need more of my transcripts. Gah.

We're gonna have fondue and booze now, so... woo! (AND I'm going to try and sneak a couple more posts in before then. I wanted to do them before but that Soul Collectors post just KILLED all my time.)

Jon and I never actually even cooked our dinner. We got sleepy midday and just snoooored our way through the day. Kind of sad! But turkey and potatoes and yule log are on for later today!

I totally got Talliska to circle 42 on Christmas Eve though. Also went looking at a Dragonrealms fest with some of Talli's in game friends. That was a lot of fun. :)

I'm a dork for being on DR on Christmas Eve. I was on RPoL too, handing out holiday bonuses in a couple of my games. n.n While tallying up the experience, I I wrote and tested the most amazing script ever to help Talliska train hiding and stalking. Now I can finally get those two skills to catch up to my other survivals. It's truly epic. :3 And I'll need it, my dream title for Talli is "Penumbra" which takes 400 hide/stalk. Such a long way off! ;.;

Though I'm proud that Talli now has Trailmaster (175 scouting) - that took quite a bit of work to achieve!

Lastly, I'm in love with Kokia's album The Voice. I'm not big on her pop albums, but I LOVE when she goes for more 'new age' style musicI got me some mp3s, only because I have no way of getting a hard copy any time soon and was so eager to hear it. It's definitely on my "to buy" list though!

I totally slept for 2/3rds of yesterday.

And it was good.

I'm starting to think just getting more sleep and relaxing is really going to kick my writing mojo back into gear. I may be able to hang on to all my games on rpol, even. (Though, just the GMed ones. Have discarded most of the ones I was playing, already.)

Just that one day of rest made my mind SO MUCH CLEARER. Hard to believe how much that helped. I even managed to get my brain started on some cool new Academy events. Hopefully by the 7th or so (January) I should be ready to jump back into my other games as well (particularly the ones that require combat posting. My bane, given that it takes both inspiration AND fiddling with numbers/stats.)

But for now I have over a week of rest to go and I am going to enjoy it. Whee! Actually, we have to run to the grocery store too, to get our turkey for Christmas dinner (yum yum).

On other news, apparently Drupal is now version 6.15. I SWEAR this always happens right after I update version. Argh! I'll probably procrastinate again and the same thing will happen with 6.16, too. *weeps* It never fails.

And now we are going to get groceries like we were supposed to yesterday. Gah, yesterday there was bank issues and we starved for like 24 hours. I know, not as bad as some people have it but man did it make me unproductive! Dark Siren needs food for writingz. :( But now we have lots of money and we're going to get some holiday treats and something nice for our private Christmas dinner (just the two of us. Yay!)

It's also gettin' really cold now! Hello winter! *brrrrr* Time to step out (I swear, like the first time in a week. :/ I know, I'm bad!)

I never did finish my Christmas cards and presents. So again postponed to sending them on MONDAY. I hate myself for that, but I had a really poor day trying to write the cards, having my ink run out, losing my temper and tearing one of my good cards up... o.O It was just not a day for finishing my cards. I'm pretty much overworked, and the sad thing is I don't even have a real job. I'm just a RPoL GM.

Why don't I have a job? Because responsibility makes me anxious. See, with GMing I can at least fool myself into thinking it's 'fake' responsibility because there's no money involved and people just play for fun. If I were to try doing the same amount of work but for money, I would freak out and completely freeze up. I'd be unable to produce anything.

It's similar with my webpage stuff. I have maintained my website and server for 10 years. I haven't been the best at it especially lately (what with rpol making me lazy with everything else), but I've done it for no pay, I've kept things afloat, I troubleshoot stuff for my users, or make them new accounts, etc. I do this almost without thinking about it. Sometimes it's hard but I get things done.
