Brynja revisited... maybe! :D

Ooh ooh. I may be getting into FFRPG on RPoL. The rules are a fan-made Final Fantasy based RPG system, by Returner Games. I'm really looking forward to trying this out. :D The FFRPG project has matured a lot over the past... decade? and now includes material from every game all the way up to FF12: Revenant Wings. :D

AND YES! I am playing a Viera. OF COURSE I am. :D In fact, I'm using Brynja -- though, it's a different Bryn than the one I was going to make for Lumi's story.

FF11 update: I am up to... level 10! Mithra Red Mage. I spent a lot of time playing and chatting with Rin, which was cool. He taught us a bunch of stuff we'd not been aware of and even took us on a quest (which led to a TPK. But we were all only level 8 then.) Apparently he really wishes I was a WHM, but I want to be versatile, and rather like Red. -_^

And here's some of the writing I sent the GM for my FFRPG character (it's set in a custom world named Grayth.)

Advocate of the Damned + other ramble.

'nother Abyssal char. She's actually based on a NPC I made for Wardragon 40k. (Advocate is one of the Abyssals after Archana, potentially.) This Advocate is different, though, since she was born in the Second Age, not the First. I was just lazy with names, I always liked "Advocate of the Damned" as a title. So I used it.

Wardragon Advocate is a Moonshadow, but this character is a Midnight. So she's more of a force of personality type than a socializing type. Her highest skills are Presence (went into the whole "hurt if you try to attack her" Charm branch) and Thrown (Crypt Bolt and Eyes Like Daggers Glance, mmm). Working on Performance (for orations, she's something of a preacher of the end of days) and Resistance (eventually want the Adamant Skin mirror, yay soak!)

I also gave her Martial Arts as favored, though she doesn't know a MA yet. And Linguistics, too, there's some fun charms in that Ability I hope to use.

Here's the kinda crappy background I wrote for her during an insomnic bout :P

Another Iria

I really like this one.

Made for a mostly freeform game with very light dice rules (simple d20 rolls, and a selection of powers to choose from called Shadow Gifts.)

Remaking Jadira

By Dark Siren Sally - Posted on 19 October 2008 in Characters, Profiles, Roleplaying

I'm really having fun with Outcastes on the Open Sea so far. We haven't started play yet (that's tomorrow) but I'm actually enjoying the process of setting up, approving character sheets, writing rules and such.

It really DOES help not to be doing it in real time. A *lot*. You can actually think I might even be good at it from how I am on forum, hah.

But I'm feeling a little burnt out from too much RPoL now. Gah. I am going to go do other stuff in a bit...

Wanted to post my new desc of Jadira though :D

Because I can't stand my life...

I make characters like Ziziri: a cannibalistic Full Moon Lunar with a hyena totem, my entry for a barbarian game I may or may not get accepted for. She's even more of a violent catharsis than Huntress, who turned out to be fairly well-spoken and subtle (well, she IS a Day Caste), while Zizi truly relishes and *thirsts* for killing. I'm amused this Lunar could end up more evil than any of my Abyssals. :P

Nekira, if you're reading this, I'm really sorry x.x but I need more time alone. :( Forum games are just less... 'direct' communication for me, so I feel safer with them in my current state of mind. Next week, though, I'll definitely contact you. With many, many apologies.

Speaking of forums... I'm still open for more character applications for Outcastes on the Open Sea. More high quality RTJs would make me happy. For those of you new to RPoL, don't shy from commenting on this entry (well, could email too but I'm not really checking my email lately *sigh*) or clicking the "Request Access" link on the game page and sending me a PM that way.

I've done it no~ooww...! (new character)

First of all, up too late. SIGH. I wanted to sleep 3 hours ago but Jon wanted to cook all late (really late). Meh. I found something to distract myself while waiting and decided I'd apply for a D&D 4th Edition game on RPoL.

No clue if I'll make the cut, but I gave it an ok effort for something scrapped together in a couple hours.

I'm posting this mostly as I did in my request to join the game. I'm lazy, and it's late. Also, if you're wondering, the setting's a custom setting, so I went and expanded on some bits and pieces the DM wrote for it so far, and tried to make it work for my concept.

(Hrifa was originally conceived as a D&D 4e dragonborn version of Archana. I didn't want to make her a cleric, though. So I gave an entirely different impetus for her relentlessness...)

Things I've been working on, part 2.

Igarashi Nami, first year student of Tsukuba University.

Also, super-strong catgirl engineer... with elemental powerz. :D (I just recently added that in, cause I thought she needed an 'activated' power.)

She's made for a freeform RPoL game that I also mentioned earlier.

Also have a pic of her -- of course, it's really of Nikki from Mana Khemia, but it's a close enough resemblance.

Now follows the profile! (It was pretty fun to work on.)

My D&D 3.5 Forgotten Realms character, Lyseria Dawnclear.

She's a chara for a RPoL game. The last name's taken from Thyria and her mother in Exalted B&B. The first is a derivative of Lysistrata, which Kalli suggested but I felt too shy to use, since people might recognize the Greek play it came from. :O

I'm not going to post the sheet, but I will say she's a level 5 half-elven swashbuckler. And I'm very likely going swashbuckler all the way, though I did kind of regret not deciding on starting with a couple Ranger levels. (Rangers get more skill points + they get two weapon fighting for free at 2nd, which I had to buy as a feat. Still, doing that would have made feel too twinky, so I didn't!)

My one complaint after working on this is that Forgotten Realms is just too friggin' HUGE. Way too many countries of origin to choose from, and places to have traveled to. I had a hard time settling on Lyse's god (Tymora) for a while, too.

Bad day + new Abby chara

By Dark Siren Sally - Posted on 30 June 2008 in Characters, Daily Post, Profiles, Roleplaying, Secret

Had to cancel Emberdays session. :/ Things were going bad for a while, until late this afternoon.

I'll explain later, maybe. I'm not sure yet how much I want to explain of it. I'm mostly okay, though. I just need some time to myself right now. =_= I'ma also needing to work on Reborn Again RP info, so that'll distract me for much of the week. :O I'm trying to find a hardbound copy of BESM 3rd, which would speed up my working on it significantly.

Anyway, what I've been working on lately... another RPoL character! And you thought I was tired of those.

Huntress of the Seven Plagues - Day Caste Abyssal. Plague-bearer (as per the Debility? I think? But made into a merit) and stealthy archer-type. She's also App 1, due to nasty plague scars. Yes, I'm playing ugly! But not App 0 ugly.

Cecily / Cecil Ursebrand

Worked on this yesterday... uh... today. I have to be up for a hair appointment and it's freaking 9 am... no wait. 10 am. *siiiiiiighs at self* Why do I do this to myself? But I had to get the sheet done.

Here she is: Cecily aka Cecil Ursebrand, a young woman pretending to be a male knight. She comes from a patriarchal, rather misogynist country, in fact. Though her father actually treated her well. He was a knight, but died tragically, and her mother blamed her for it ever since.

Cecily's response was to run away and follow in her father's footsteps. Except, in Auria (her country) you can't be a knight unless you're male. :P
