Talli got circle 50 :D

As a replacement for actual interesting posts (read: life updates and such) I am posting about something that gets me excited in a dorky way.

Namely getting Talliska to circle 50 in DR. :D It actually surprised me mainly because I had no idea the DR GMs watch for people getting milestone circles. Interesting!!

(My hubby just nuzzled me because he thought my excitement was cute. Hee.)

Another dorky tidbit: Jon and I bought Ace Attorney Investigations and are on the final case. This game is a lot of fun! Yay for Ace Attorney.

Anyway, here's the DR log of Talli getting her circle. :3

6 out of 7 done... argh....

I'm SO worn out lately... Just churning out these recruiting lessons for the White Rose over and over. :x

I've written and tested 6 out of 7. Of course, I won't take all the credit, Samarah has done plenty of work on her part as well. She's writing the scripted versions, I'm writing the notes versions. Sometimes our opinions on how lessons are arranged differ slightly; that means I have to do more writing to arrange it as I see fit.

I have never done so much work for a Dragonrealms organization in my LIFE until now. I bet you COLLEGE will be easier. *smirks* But I love what I'm doing because the Order needs the foundation of the recruiting program. Even if I or Samarah are gone, other people can take what we've written down and do good things with it.

Sure it's just a game. But... it's a GOOD game. And I'm even learning good teamwork, writing and editing skills. So it can't all be bad!

With my next bit of news, though, I've entered a whole new level of DR crazy.

I'm totally crazy (Order work)

I spent this entire last week slaving over Order of the White Rose documents. Yep that's right! For no pay and no gain, and even MORE insane, for a game!

But I was a bonafide geek for years now, I suppose I can't hide it.

I'm actually only halfway through the work, but made a serious breakthrough finishing the last two documents. So I'm feeling really good right now.

I'm looking at my rpol games and realizing "sheesh, those aren't even hard compared to what I was doing for the Order!" Hah! Yep, the complexity of writing recruit training lessons -- given information that takes some interpretation to write in a coherent manner -- defeats any difficulty I've had with RPoL recently.

Okay, maybe I still hate writing Exalted combat right now. But I think ANY RP post would be a break over all that nitpicking over lesson wording. *wobbles*

Right now though I really just want to rest (and by rest I mean poke at facebook apps and mess with the few RPoL posts I AM committed to doing this week).

Crawling out of darkness

I have a LOT to post about! Including a couple of long-ish posts I need to finish up and tack on here. n.n

For now, I just want to announce that I sent my new college app today. To be more accurate, Jon has done a lot of helping me through it this time, because I felt so discouraged at one point I really just felt giving up on my dream to finish college. I felt incredibly bad these past couple weeks. It's seriously been a while since I had a depressive episode that dark.

But I'm finally getting SOME forward motion here. Sent the app, and I got word from my lawyer that March 21 is the deadline for my documents and compensation. While I'm taking this with a grain of salt -- I've been given dates before only for them to preclude yet ANOTHER deadline -- he did reassure us that things are going very smoothly.

It's just the waiting that's hard. Having faith that things will work out. I'm a pessimist who has seen a lot of unexpectedly bad things come true. But I'd be lying if I said I ever lost my hope completely. Because if I did, I'd be dead.

I hope that my mood (and in turn my physical health) will continue to rise. I've even stepped outside a couple times, so that's a good sign! *crosses fingers*

MMO hunting!

Jon and I have really been bummed over the imminent closure of PSU for the PC. :( We're continuing to look into replacement games.

I did a google search and found this blog page about "where do we go now from PSU?" It gives a few Korean game suggestions that look great, though I'm a little bit wary since there's plenty of Asian-made games that look very pretty but are lacking in substance...

Of the three mentioned, I'm currently favoring Tera Online. Fun selection of races and classes, and the developers are trying to make it so that all race/gender/class combinations are available. One of their selling points is also the "targetless" gameplay, in other words more like PSU where your positioning and aiming have to be done manually.

And I am SO playing female Castanic. I've wanted to play a demon chick for a while now!! But not completely sure on a class yet. (This is something my MMO group has to work out, as ideally, I'd like us to be a well balanced team like we were in PSU.)
